Prosody Cluster Group

The group seeks to bring together researchers working on, or interested in, prosody across modalities, languages and functions. Its objectives are to establish a shared foundation across research traditions, to identify and address central research challenges, and to explore strategies for advancing the field.

All About The Group

The Prosody Cluster Group was officially launched on October 2, 2025, at the Max Planck Institute for Psycholinguistics, with nearly 70 members from institutions such as the CLS, the Donders Institute, Utrecht University, Leiden University, and several research centers across Germany. It is a new forum for researchers working on prosody across modalities, languages, and functions. I’m privileged to lead this group and thankful for colleagues’ support as we move forward together.

Our shared goal is to advance the field and establish a leading international hub for prosody research. Monthly meetings explore key topics such as the architecture and neurobiology of prosody, combining behavioral, computational, and brain imaging approaches.
