GET TO KNOW ME
My Background
I am a neurolinguist and currently working as a research scientist at the Multimodal Language Department, Max Planck Institute for Psycholinguistics, Nijmegen, The Netherlands. The language in the brain has always been a passion of mine and I am grateful to have turned it into a career. I specialise in prosody, the musical side of language, and investigate diverse communicative functions based on prosody. Over the years I have had the opportunity to work on various projects and collaborate with researchers from different disciplines. I am always up for a challenge and enjoy taking on new projects. I started this webpage as a way to better myself and to share my experiences and projects with those who are interested in collaborating. I hope that you find it informative and engaging. I look forward to connecting with you soon.
Here is a snapshot of my CV. Please explore it in detail below and feel free to get in touch with any questions. I got my PhD in December 2016 from the Special Doctoral Programme in Language and Linguistics - FoSprak, Department of Linguistics, Stockholm University. After completing my PhD, I was offered a permanent position as a research assistant at the same department and worked as a postdoctoral researcher between 2018 and 2020. In May 2022, I have been promoted to Associate Professor by the Faculty of Humanities, Stockholm University. Between 2021 and 2024, I was employed as a researcher at the Neurobiology of Language Department, Max Planck Institute for Psycholinguistics, Nijmegen, The Netherlands.
