Prosody Cluster Group
Max Planck Institute for Psycholinguistic
I am happy to announce the launch of the Prosody Cluster Group, a new forum for researchers working on prosody across modalities, languages, and functions. Our monthly meetings will explore key topics such as the architecture and neurobiology of prosody, integrating behavioral, computational, and brain imaging approaches. For more information, please get in touch with me.

Conference talk
MEDAL Conference, 2025
Together with Pärtel Lippus (University of Tartu), I gave a talk on the MEDAL Gold Project, entitled “Multimodal Negation: Gesture and Prosody in Estonian and Turkish,” at the conference “Methodological Excellence in Data-Driven Approaches to Linguistics, which took place on 9–10 October 2025 at the University of Tartu, Estonia. Donders Day, 2025
Donders Institute
I had the pleasure of giving a talk entitled "To be, or not to be, that is prosody!" at this year's Donders Day, sharing some of our recent research with the vibrant research community at the Donders Institute. Thanks to Stephanie Forkel for having me and for putting together such a great event. Read more about the program here.

Gallaudet University, Washington
I am pleased to share that two of our abstracts have been accepted for presentation at the 17th Annual Meeting of the Society for the Neurobiology of Language. Read more about the program here.

SMILE lecture, 2025
Leiden University, The Netherlands
I am grateful to be invited to speak at the launch of the new talk series, SMILE, at Leiden University. The SMILE series explores the interplay between prosody and linguistic structure, language use, and speech processing. Read more about the series here.
New Role: Associate Editor
Language, Cognition and Neuroscience
I have joined Language, Cognition and Neuroscience as an Associate Editor. After serving as a reviewer for some time, I’m looking forward to contributing to the journal from an editorial perspective. I appreciate the opportunity and the trust from the team.
